March 2014, after many months that turned into a year or two and much scratching of the head wondering if we would ever get the job done, the Joey Dunlop tribute Vespa fired up in a plume of two stroke smoke, it brought smiles to everyone involved.

So here is the finished scooter, our tribute to racing legend Joey Dunlop. I have to say a huge thank you to Angie and her Mam Gerardine, Steve Staunton and Tony 'Bungy' Herdman, Paddy Duffy and my brother Martin. Thanks also to Aidan Lynam for featuring the Joey Vespa in the March 2014 edition of Road Racing Ireland magazine. Thank you all.
