We had all spoken about the various ways to remember and portray Joey on the scooter, from the design of course to maybe incorporating his famous number 3 racing number. I had gotten a copy of Joey's signature for the frame, we also thought about a photo of Joey screened onto it. But Angie had other plans...
Throughout the course of the restoration I celebrated a birthday, or two! On the evening of one of my birthdays Angie and her Mam, renowned artist Gerardine Cooper-Sheridan, were both coming over for dinner and birthday drinks. We had a bite to eat, a glass of wine or two then I was handed a wrapped gift. I carefully opened it and when I seen what Angie and her Mam had planned and done for me I was left speechless, I think for a moment they wondered if I liked the gift, I loved it, I was just amazed at what they did. Angie had unknown to me taken the tool box lid away and asked her Mam to work her magic on it, this is the result that amazed me that night and still amazes me
